How to make your own facepaint for kids at home
1. After mixing together all of the below
recipes:
Place 1 or 2 tablespoons of the mix into small ziploc bags. Add a
few drops of washable paint to the bag and seal. Mix the facepaint
mixture with the paint until smooth. Add more paint a little at a time
if needed to obtain the perfect color.
After all the colors are mixed cut a small hole at the bottom corner of the bag and pipe into plastic containers.
2. To make the face paint go on smoother add a few drops of water to the paints before applying.
3. Add shimmer to the colors to make them sparkle.
1 tsp. corn starch
1/2 tsp. water
1/2 tsp. cold cream
Food Coloring
Stir starch and cold cream together until they blended together.
Add the water and stir. Add food coloring and mix well. Make
a separate batch for each color you want to use. Use small paint
brushes or a sponge for larger areas to paint on party guests faces.

3/4 Cup Karo light corn syrup
1/4 Cup Water
3 TBLS Cornstarch
1 TBLS Flour
Food Coloring or washable paint
Divide into smaller jars and add food coloring. Mix in extra
cornstarch if mixture is too thin.
2 tsp Cornstarch
1 tsp Face Cold Cream
1 tsp Water
Food Coloring
Mix all ingredients except the food coloring. Then add in food coloring one drop at a time until you reach the color you want.
2 TBLS Shortening (like Crisco)
5 tsp Cornstarch
1 tsp Flour
1/4 tsp Vaseline
Food Coloring
Mix together shortening, cornstarch and flour in a small bowl. Mix in the Vaseline. Separate into small bowls if you want more then 1 color and mix in food coloring one drop at a time. Apply to face with a sponge. For details thin the mixture with a little water and use a small brush.
Easy Facepaint Recipe
Equal parts:
Cornstarch and Lotion (for faces)
1/3 tsp oil (vegetable, corn or coconut)
Washable paint in different colors
Bowl for mixing
small ziploc bags
Individual containers for storing
Mix the cornstarch and lotion together in equal amounts (1/2 cup to 1/2
cup).
Add the oil a little at a time and mix well. Mix in enough oil for the consistancy to be smooth, but not watery.
